Hike up Bunda Mountain

 

This beautiful site is the view on Bunda mountain at around 3-4 pm on a good day, this time around let me tell you a story of how a 1 hour hike made me feel like I'm old and grey.This mountain is not high, the hike up takes about an hour and it is a very popular spot, but its short height and beautiful scenery aren't the reason it's so popular but instead it's popular because of its significance to christians.

The reason being for as long as I can remember people have always gone up there to pray, they usually go there to spend a night or 2 some even going for as long as a week.

So a few years ago a man moved up there to go live and take care of the place, apparently this was his calling, I don't mean to downplay it but he tells his story far better than I ever could, but now he has constructed several structures from the quarry that he mines right there and he has managed to turn a fantastically beautiful natural structure into a work of art.
