It is so tranquil and quiet and the views here are just stunning, from the restaurant and the rooms you have the perfect view of the mountains and fields along those mountains.
If views simply are not enough for you the mountains are so close to the lodge that hiking is definitely a must but if that's the case I recommend going there a day before so you can set off early the next morning because sometimes when its cold enough or cloudy enough part of Dedza gets engulfed in fog and clouds.
The food here is also amazing, the best food on the menu being their cheese cake in my opinion, but not only is the food amazing but also cheap compared to other places whose caliber is more or less the same as this one. And the food can be topped of by having a table set for you on the open grass with a fantastic 360 degree view of the surroundings.
After having yourself a meal you are now ready to go settle into the room, the rooms are very simplistic with not much going on but the simplicity does not take away any of the authenticity and charm incorporated here, everything they used for these rooms was only purchased if they don't make it but the sinks, the tilings e.t.c they are all in house.
Now we've had our meal and now we choose to relax or go to sleep (if its night time) our day is over. The next day can be started early with breakfast and go on any of the lots of tours/adventures they offer but if you don't want to go out you can also stick around and go make yourself a plate or mug and paint it as you see fit to take home a tangible memory and don't worry unless you are well versed in these sorts of arts but this will take you a few hours so its definitely something to keep you busy for some part of the day.
